'Server not found' message sent by Panasonic Viera TXP42V20B
Just downloaded free version of 'Twonky Media Server' for a trial. I can see photos on the Windows XP PC via the Media Browser page. I'm connected to the network, and the TV recognises my wireless network by name. But selecting Media Server on the TV sends a 'server not found' message. What's wrong?
Re: 'Server not found' message sent by Panasonic Viera TXP42V20B
I have a Panasonic Viera TH-P50V20Z Plasma tv hooked up as well and can see photos and listen to music on Panasonic home cinema unit but cannot get videos or movies to work. I suspect this may be a Panasonic problem where they only recognise movies from Panasonic products . Would like to Know if this is the case.Vieracast works fine where I can see Utube/weatherforcast/picasso/stockexchange, Media server works for photos and music but not videos and when in twonky manager computer in workshop can access laptop in house but the Tv set is not seen as a Renderer or even recognised so drag and drop functions wont work to TV set. Am happy with Twonky software so far but would like these other functions to work?
Later (after above paragraph) I successfully could watch movies taken from my wifes Sony camera if they were converted to MPeg2 format. Had previously found wav music audio files also only worked after they were converted to MP3. Would like to figure out how to drag and drop tv on demand thru this software.

Now that is strange because I have a Panasonic TXP42G20B Plasma TV, a PC and DG834G v5 Router all hard wired and I can view videos (divx, avi etc) but cannot play mp3s from my library!

According to the manual found here-arrows wrote:Now that is strange because I have a Panasonic TXP42G20B Plasma TV, a PC and DG834G v5 Router all hard wired and I can view videos (divx, avi etc) but cannot play mp3s from my library!
http://tda.panasonic-europe-service.com ... 0903-1.pdf
DLNA playback only supports-
Photo : JPEG (Sub-sampling 4:4:4, 4:2:2 or 4:2:0)
Image resolution - 8 × 8 to 30,719 × 17,279 pixels
â—MOTION JPEG and Progressive JPEG are not supported.
Video : MPEG-2 (PS format and TS format)
It does not mention anything about audio playback. Now of course there may have been firmware updates that added more support but I could not find any further details.

Tis strange, tried DivX but files would not work, Panasonic tv would not recognise them, put this down to the fact that I am based in New Zealand and on demand files would not work or I had to further convert video to divx format so gave up.
I converted my audio wav files to MP3 using free software from koyotesoft.com. Sorry cant be of further help.
