Hi
I have a Samsung TV, a C8000 model of the 2010 year.
I can stream from my Qnap NAS with twonky 6.0.30 mkv files, with the know problem that i can't select subtitles.
But I can't select the diferent audio tracks, too.
Somebody has the same problem? If you can... how?
Thanks
Select different audio track on MKV - Samsung TV
Re: Select different audio track on MKV - Samsung TV
The Samsung TVs are hard coded to only play the first audio track - they have no option to select different tracks. TV problem not Twonky.

Sorry, but if I copy the same mkv file in a USB pen, i can select de audio track.
Is only when I stream the movie from the NAS
Seems the same issue that with the subtitles...

Re: Select different audio track on MKV - Samsung TV
Maybe that is an improvement in the 2010 C series TVs as multiple audio channels can't be selected on my 2009 B series TV.
I've just read the manual for the C8000 and in the Media Play section (Page 35) it mentions that Multi Audio is not supported but it doesn't make it clear whether that is for USB files, files played over a network or both. I do know that the functionality between USB and Network Media Play on my TV is different so it may be the same on yours. I still believe the problem is with the TV and not Twonky as Twonky just streams the file as it is and it is down to the TV to be able to select different audio tracks.

You need to read your TV's manual very carefully to see if this option is supported. Samsung products are notorious for supporting different media formats/features from USB vs. network. With network playback you are usually limited to very few media formats/options. This is not a Twonky problem.basura10 wrote:Sorry, but if I copy the same mkv file in a USB pen, i can select de audio track.

Ok, thanks to all
Re: Select different audio track on MKV - Samsung TV
Yes but if I stream from pc share manager I get automatically the right audio track (ITA) also if is not the first track.
Instead with twonky I get only the first track so I have to remux any mkv with other language then ITA at first track.
