the TV sees all the videos but I can't control them with the remote (when pressing the fast forward or back or pause on the remote I get function forbidden.
The server runs on MACOS Snow Leopard and is the latest stable 6.x
The connection is wired.
The Remote Control is operating in Wireless Networking mode.
I would appreciate help.

Can I suggest a search of the forum, you're describing a known issue that has dozens of posts (and probably threads by now) about it.
