Problem with cover art

Post by lukyluke » Sat Feb 19, 2011 10:51 am

Hello,

I just installed twonky 6.0 on my Synology DS209 NAS, enter licence, all setup with no prob.
Then I transferred ripped CDs in flac format.
When I directly tag with EAC, everythink seems OK.
But in some case, I have old rips in flac format with no tags.
In this case, I tag all audio files using Tag&Rename with cover art tag, and in addition I add a folder.jpg file in the folder.
Then I copy the entire folder on the NAS ..., but at this point; the library browser I am using (Kinsky from Linn), shows strictly no pictures, instead, I sometimes have a default picture which says something like "error dowloading picture from server"
If I want to see cover art, I have to manually retag at least one of the audio file, using Dbpoweramp.
When I retag, Dbpoweramp actually sees the tag put by Tag&Rename, but for some reason, twonky does not like it.

Ultimately, I have one question: Is it necessary to tag audio files with cover art tag, like EAC does, or is it enough to just put a folder.jpg file in the folder ??

Thanks for explaining how this works.
