Hello,
I use the twonky Server on a QNAP TS-412 NAS. The installed version is 6.0.34.
But I can't stream 1080p files to my TV oder anything else. Twonky rescale the source and the qualitiy on the TV is after this horroble! The resolution ist not 1920x1080 on the TV, but the source is FullHD!
My TV is a Panasonic TX55VT30.
How can I stream the original files in original resolution?!
best regards

Re: Twonky rescale video!
The Twonkymedia server (by default) does not alter the video stream in any way.
Any rescaling or distortion must be happenning on your TV.

Then it must be something to do with the way the file(s) are encoded. Is it all files or just some?

Every file I tested. .mkv, .mov, .ts.... All FullHD videos.
The QNAP Support tell me that I had to use PS3 Media Server. But to use this App, I need a Intel NAS... But my NAS isn't a intel NAS (marvel)

Re: Twonky rescale video!
Well it must have something to do with the TV then or in the way Twonky is identifying the TV.
1) Check in the Twonky server config page that the TV is correctly identified.
2) Is the firmware on your TV up to date?
3) Check all your TV settings to make sure that you have not turned on anything that could affect video streaming (e.g. special display modes).

1) The TV is identfied as "PANASONIC VIERA"
2) Yes
3) All correct.
Must I modify the client.db, and when yes, how?

Modifying the clients.db is unlikely to achieve anything useful at this point.
What is the date of the firmware on your TV? While searching around I saw that new firmware was released on Sep 15 with the comment that it improved media player. Is this what you are running?
