TwonkyServer 6.0.37 NAS builds are Now Available!

I just received a download link for the TwonkyServer 6.0.37 NAS builds.

You can find them here:
http://www.twonkyforum.com/downloads/6.0.37/

As mentioned before, these are posted as a favor to our expert users. We do not have any instructions for these. Do not attempt to install if you have done this type of thing before.

Sorry it took so long to post these.

unfortunately I couldn't access the directory. I'm looking for the kirkwood version of 6.0.37 (http://www.twonkyforum.com/downloads/6. ... 6.0.37.zip).

Is it my fault or doesn't this directory exist anymore?

I also have a problem downloading http://www.twonkyforum.com/downloads/6. ... 6.0.37.zip which I would need for my WD MyBook Live. I did get this file some weeks ago, but a firmware update on the WD remove all files.

I guess the complete 6.0.37 directory is gone and it also has not been replaced with a 6.0.38 release

We're in the process of creating the 6.0.38 page now. We had to pull the old page because it contained some information which should not have been there.

We post the new link as soon as it's ready. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Anymore news on this as yet? I am currently running 6.0.34 on my Western Digital My Book Live which works great except for not being able to fast forward or rewind.

Thanks

Last I heard the new NAS builds were not going to be ready until next week.

I do not know if the new update will fix your FF and rewind issues. I think that is more of a player-related issue than a server-related issue. Some codecs and file types have more issues with this than others.

Thanks for the reply Rick, if I buy a registration code tonight for v6.0.38, I'm guessing it will work on.34 and .37? Hopefully the newer version will be out next week.

That is correct. If you buy a license code now, it can be used with TwonkyServer 4.4.11 and later, 5.0 or 6.0. It should also work with TwonkyManger. We try to make things as easy as possible. :D

Any ideas whats happening here...

Verision 6.0.34 was allowing me to play MKV files on my Samsung TV (Smart Hub), but now I have updated to version 6.0.38 it won't work again just as it didn't with version 5.x! Do you know of any changes that would of caused this to happen? i'm going to try and roll back to version 6.0.34 for now as I need to be able to play MKV files.

Thanks

Okay i've rolled back to 6.0.34 and they are not working on that now either, they definitely were though. Not sure whats going on but might as well upgrade back to 6.0.38 as neither are working. Hopefully someone will have an idea?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like some changes were made to the Samsung device profile which have broke something. I'll report this to our engineers.

Thanks for reporting it.

Here's some feedback from an engineer about the MKV issue with Samsung TVs.

We have two adaptations for Samsung TVs. One is named "Samsung TV", this is used for the Samsung B and C-series TVs. Recently we added a second entry named "Samsung Smart TV" this one is intended for the D-series TVs.

On a first glance there seems to be not much difference in the adaptations, but the matching strings we use to identify the TV are different.

1. Which profile is your TV detecting?
2. If you select the other Samsung profiles, does it help?

Hi Rick,

Thanks for the reply. I have a D series; its the D8000. I am not sure how I check which profile it is using though, I would assume the TV would choose the one that is designed for it, but I am not sure how this works exactly. Sorry!

If you can point me in the right direction, then I am more than happy to provide you with more info.

Thanks
Darren

I've just tried a film again just to see if anything comes in the log file so I could copy and past it here for you and low and behold the film decided to play. I honestly have no idea what is going on here... like I said I can provide as much info as you need and appreciate the help.

Here is the rather long log: I refreshed it, started the film on the Samsung and after it had started refreshed it again and selected all that text. This is the log for when the video is working, as its currently working as mentioned above.
