Hello,
I use TS 6.01 (Win 7) and 6.0.34 (NAS) for streaming.
Some pictures I have cataloged and now for these images not the filename but the content of the property "title" is displayed.
What can I do, that for all pictures (with and without "title" property) the filename is displayed?
And what is necessary to create a new navtree only for picture with "title" property and displayng this property instead of filename?
Thank you
"title" property instead of filename in pictures

Re: "title" property instead of filename in pictures
When you say cataloged, do you mean you used a photo organizer program or something?Some pictures I have cataloged and now for these images not the filename but the content of the property "title" is displayed.
If an image is tagged with a title in its metadata, this is what will be usedWhat can I do, that for all pictures (with and without "title" property) the filename is displayed?
If an image does not have title tag in its metadata, then the filename is what will be used
Do you mean, create just one for pictures and not the other media types?And what is necessary to create a new navtree only for picture with "title" property and displayng this property instead of filename?
To use only the actual title tag, one must exist or it uses the filename in its place

Re: "title" property instead of filename in pictures
Hello,
thanks for the quickly answer.
1. Yes, I used a photo organizer program (Daminion). And all cataloged pictures have now a title property and this property is displayed in navtree. All other pictures (not cataloged) are displayed with file name in navtree.
I want, that all pictures where displayed with the file name in navtree regardless of whether they have the title property or not.
2. I would like to create a new navtree only for those pictures whith title property for example:
In the title is the name of a flower:
A B C
agave
bromelie
calla
carnation
...
D E F
dahlia
fuchsia
...
Is it possible, that I can create sub-categories from a other file property (subject)
A B C
agave
blue
red
...
bromelie
orange
yellow
...
calla
blue
white
...
carnation
...
D E F
dahlia
fuchsia
...
Thank you

Re: "title" property instead of filename in pictures
I tried to see if I could make what you want to happen, even though I knew it was kind of futile
What client are you using that is displaying the title/filename of the photos
as by default photos are shown as thumbnails, with no info about them in the web interface?
Or are have you modified it to browse by title?

Re: "title" property instead of filename in pictures
Im guessing,
But I think your need/want for the filename is base on being able to retrieve the file when wanted/needed
and that if only the title is showing and not the actual filename, it makes it a bit harder to do that
Here's a thought, use both in the title tag, so you would know what was and wasn't tagged
and you would also know its filename
for example:
filename = "CIMG0766.JPG"
tagged title = "Something Descriptive Here - CIMG0766"
ps
Im still digging around, but I know there was a version that sort of exposed the filename and path
still need to figure which version that was, and IF, a big IF, see if its possible to leverage it

Re: "title" property instead of filename in pictures
I don't which other versions do this, but I know 7.0.9 does have the data for filename exposed to jsonphibertron wrote: ps

still need to figure which version that was, and IF, a big IF, see if its possible to leverage it
1. it can NOT be leveraged in the navtree, that I have been able to figure out
2. it CAN be leveraged in the Web Interface by editing the "config.js"
As as example, this is the url for the first 2 items in "All Photos"
Code: Select all
http://127.0.0.1:9000/#id=0$2$20&startPage=0&count=10
Code: Select all
http://127.0.0.1:9000/json/feed/0$2$20&startPage=0&count=10
The item was tagged with a title of "Desert Scene" and its actual filename is "Desert.jpg"{"containerTitle":"All Photos","parentId":"0$2","objId":"0$2$20","containerContents":[
{
"index":"0",
"link":"http://127.0.0.1:9000/disk/DLNA-PNJPEG_ ... 20I267.jpg",
"mime":"image/jpeg",
"thumbnail":"http://127.0.0.1:9000/disk/DLNA-PNJPEG_ ... le=160x120",
"title":"Desert Scene",
"objId":"0$2$20I267",
"parentId":"0$2$20",
"objType":"P",
"nodeType":"leaf",
"extension":"jpg",
"modificationTime":"1407693507",
"addedTime":"1407698131",
"lastUpdated":"1407693507",
"album":"My Pictures",
"contentsize":"851968",
"date":"2014-08-10T00:00:00",
"year":"2014",
"resolution":"1024x768",
"filename":"C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Documents\\My Pictures\\Desert.jpg",
We can use the "filename" json attribute in the Web Interface, but not in the NavTree xml"title":"Desert Scene",
"filename":"C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Documents\\My Pictures\\Desert.jpg",
The section of "config.js" that would need to be edited would be in this function "function loadMediaContents"
and in that function there is a section for case "P": if (!photosContainer) {
which is the section that would need to be modified
and to get the string of the filename attribute you would use "data.filename"
I keep copies of all known versions here
