I'll assume that its running twonky server 7.2.8?
When you look under "Media Receivers"
what "Media Receiver Type" is being assigned to the client Cambridge Audio np30?
it would be best to first know the MAC addresses of the device
Assuming that the port for twonky on the qnap is 9000

the qnp has a web interface,
that you probably get to with a url or an ip in a web browser
use that same ip with :9000
for example
http://x.x.x.x:9000
.

well there is the problem if it shows as "-/-"
it is not being assigned anything
as to what it should be is the question, of which I do not know at the moment

In the friendly name section it reads NP30,which is the model number for the Cambridge.

the friendly name wont help us with the client profile
since its only showing "-/-"
to me that means nothing is being used, which is rather odd
see if using "o2 Joggler" or "PlugPlayer" helps with the album art

you might have to contact the actual twonky support
as without me knowing what the device is supposed to be or what it requires to do what you want
its long long trial and error process
these are the emails I know of to contact them

You can change it
But...
Every client will or will not accept certain settings
Which is one of the reasons for client profiles, DLNA is a very broadly implemented spec in my view
If you find a client profile that works for your device
and you know that it can handle higher res thumbs via dlna
you can edit is client profile with this to make it so
But.. once added the server MUST be restarted for changes to take effect
look at this thread for example
Cover Art Resolution

I don't have a qnap nas
the very first thing needed is to figure out how to enable SSH access to the NAS
once we get that out of the way, we can move on from there

This is now doing my head in,its begining to take over my life

.Might now just get rid of the Cambridge and buy one of the Linn streamers as these can produce high rez artwork from Twonky. They cost an arm and a leg but I really do need the high rez artwork.Fed up.

Well made my mind up,after waiting over a week for someone at Twonky to reply I have decided to delete Twonky from my NAS.Now I am running Asset with all my problems sorted, such a shame really.

Well it was a very short stay for me,hope people do try Asset instead of this.Twonky, your customer care is shite.I wonder if anyone did read my e-mails,sad state of affairs.Totally glad that I did not pay for it.
