Actually I have a Pinnacle M1001 but I think the Roku forum is the best place for this problem.
After installing TwonkyVision 4.4.4 on my Windows PC, my M1001 is not recognized anymore. It isn't listed in the client list and adding it manually doesn't help.
I think because of that my browse-list starts with Music, Photos and Videos (Instead of just music.) I am not able to play M4A songs anymore.
Just to find out what the problem could be I installed version 4.3 on another PC. Without a problem my M1001 is recognized and plays anything as it did before.
Is there a chance anything was changed between those two versions?

Re: Pinnacle M1001 not recognized by TV 4.4.4
Yes, there is:
With version TV 4.4.4RC2 they changed from IP-based client detection (as in RC1) to a MAC-based one.
And they screwed it (at least for the Roku/Soundbridge client).
So far all you can do is using any version prior to RC2.
There are no signs of a bugfix or whatsoever....

Bad news, ThyMaster!
I've got the same problem, too! And QNAP updated TV 4.4.4 from RC1 to the final version in their new official firmware (2.0.1 Build 080324) for QNAP TS-109/209 (Pro).
So I think, there are (will be) more users with this problem

Can anyone on the TwonkyVision-development tell us if this is a bug in RC2/RC3, or if TwonkyMedia only will fully support DNLA-devices and not UPnP in the feature?

Thanks a lot. Hopefully newer versions will support my devices again. Until then I'll stick with an old version.
Re: Pinnacle M1001 not recognized by TV 4.4.4
Have the same Problem. Please fix that issue.
I can't believe how someone can release a "stable" Version with a bug like that. The Soundbridge is an importet Client. It has an own section in this Board. How can someone not test if it is recognized and can play the known music files?

Yes, same problem here. I also had to revert to 4.4.3. Hope this to be fixed soon

Re: Pinnacle M1001 not recognized by TV 4.4.4
I decided to find out if editing the clients.dat file found in the Twonky Vision directory on my QNAP TS-109 (/mnt/HDA_ROOT/twonkymedia) would solve the problem of recognising my Pinnacle M1001.
On the Twonky Vision setup pages (http://your_QNAP_IP:9000) I had already manually entered the mac address of my M1001 and since Twonky correctly identifies my Windows Media Player the clients.data contains should contain at least one correct set of data.
The clients.data file shows the following lines:
005frank
01700:18:F3:D0:78:96
013192.168.0.102

The first set of data clearly refers to my Windows Media Player, with my computers name, its mac address and IP address in the first three lines. I added the IP address of my M1001 to the line following its mac address, saved the file, restarted the server and presto... my M1001 suddenly shows the big letters again and has search functionality.

Hopefully this small hack will work untill Twonky solves the problem (hopefully) in a future release.

Re: Pinnacle M1001 not recognized by TV 4.4.4
As an update to my previous post about modifying the client.data file on the TS-109.
The first 3 digits of each line are the (decimal) length of the data string that follows it.
So if e.g. your IP address is different from the 13 digits in my example please also change the first 3 digits to reflect the correct length of the IP address string (including the decimal points)

This sounds very close to my current pain in the butt.
Unfortunately I am in a noobie status, and don't know how to access other than shares. Can someone help me (without too much kicking plz)
I have a QNAP 209 II with TwonkyMedia 4.4.5 and a Soundbridge M1001 (which plays WMP11).

Ok, I guess Telnet is a way. Then I'll need to learn some vi.
By the way I did not find the clients.dat file, but there was another one called clients.db under mnt/HDA_ROOT/twonkymedia/resources. I'll take a look.

Re: Pinnacle M1001 not recognized by TV 4.4.4
I just got this working with Twonky 4.4.4 on Lacie Ethernet Big Disk
My setup:
Lacie Ethernet Big Disk running Twonky 4.4.4
I have an entry in the twonky client/security list page for the Roku M1001 MAC and set as "Roku Soundbrige" (**I don't know if you need to do this first. I had already tried it in vain before the Roku update.)
With a Lacie you can't edit clients.data or do similar hacks so you are the mercy of the vendor. Lacie told me 4.4.4 is the latest they have.. Downgrading Twonky wasn't an option as this would break my PS3 streaming.
I had a look at the Roku site and saw they have a beta firmware update out: 3.0.52. This was apparently to fix something that broke with iTunes 7.7. i thought "what the heck" and registered in order to get the Beta update on my Roku.
Lowe and behold when it restaretd it saw my Lacie Twonky server and I can now play music.
