Two problems : folder display and stream

Post by schmoll » Wed Sep 26, 2007 4:09 am

Hello
I'm a new (registered) user of Twonkyvision, under a Linux Server on Mandriva 2007.1. Install worked fine (for those who want a HQLC -High Quality Low Cost- PC solution ...).

Now, for the moment, I just want to access and read videos from the UpNP VLC plugin. After, I will test access from dvd device like Kiss or Quartek platform (if it works).

So, here are the two problems :

- Browse problem
I have share 201 videos, on 10 subfolders in the root share directory.
Root directory : /mnt/data (indicated in the "share" page in twonkyvision config)
Subfolders : Action / Comedies etc ....
If I go to webaccess, I can list all videos. OK

If I run VLC on a client PC, I can see all the subfolders, BUT some of them seems to be empty ... I don't know why .... On 10 folders, I can correctly browse videos of 7, three don't provide the videos. I have "reboot" database, see if there is not a "curious file" (some hidden file for example) wich could make some trouble etc ... Nothing to do, folders are shown as empty but I'm sure there are files in it !!

- Streaming

Some (about 1 of 10) videos videos are incorrectly read (sometimes it stops and restart), and I don't know why because there a localy read without problems. Others videos (all divx avi files) are perfectly dispayed. What are the stream limitation ?

Thanks

YL
