Problem to find all media files by twonky mediaserver

Post by nicewedda » Mon Oct 15, 2007 11:48 am

Hi @ all,

I have a problem about the scanning of my media files.

f.e. I have 8000 music files splitted in two folders with 150 subdirectories per folder (album)
--> //volume1/music/Alben1/*150 alben*
--> //volume1/music/Alben2/*150 alben*

at the beginning the mediaserver found only 3000 music files. After I deleted the main db and read the trees again, I found 6000, but not more.

What's is the problem or what can I do? Is it possible that the trial version have only access to a defined quantity?

thx for your hints and tips...

p.s. I have a Synology NAS DS107

Hi,
I don't know if this is related, but in my Twonky Server status it states I only have 1942 music tracks but I have over 8000. I rebuilt and rebuilt my music database, moved it to another partition on my hard disk and still the same result. I went to the Web UI and all my music folders were there and then I logged into my Denon and they are also all on the Denon, however if I select 'All' under music, it only lists 1942 songs. Maybe you are having the same issue that it only lists 6000 songs, but they have all been uploaded?

I am running Twonky on Windows XP SP2 and the media database is 1,652kb. I thought it might be a DB size issue and removed my pics from the scan and still only 1942 songs in the 'all'. Just thought I would share what I have tried to do to trick Twonky in seeing all my music files.
