MP4 HELP

I know this has been asked so many times but I cant seem to get my PS3 to recognise mp4 files.

It can pick up mpg...I've tried different applications handbrake mpegstremclip visualhub (with ps3 presets) but they all come up as unsupported data.

I've tried the PS3 presets and encoding them, i've tried running it through quicktime pro (to change the headers) all without success.

I am using a lacie mini ethernet disk with the share "video". mpg files appear on there and playback without any problems.

I've tried everthing i can think of...does anyone have advice?

A few posts down, someone mentioned renaming the MP4 extension to M4V and it worked for him.
