Displaying one picture at a time

Hi
When I view my photos from the web, the index page with small thumbnails comes up quite quickly.

However when I click on a picture to enlarge it, rather than just showing the one picture, the web browser starts to download all the pictures from this one onwards.

Is there anyway to just have the one picture enlarged?
