I'm trying before I buy Twonky, and one major thing I've noticed is that it doesn't support a lot of file formats. It does DivX, etc, fine for my PS3, but my real goal is to stream a lot more than just that -- XVID, MKV, OGM, etc. I've seen that there are some ways to have VLC transcode the data over -- VLC supports everything I want to watch. Is there any how-to on how to make this happen ? My target platform is Gentoo (running on a modded Linksys NAS200), which will then be streamed to a good ol' Sony PS3 60GB model.
Any ideas/plans?
Twonky with Multiple Formats (OGM, MKV, XVID, etc)

Let me know if you get any info on this...I'm really bummed about no mkv support...
But other than that, it works great with my 360 setup
