Cannot connect to server

So after clearing my cache as per the FAQ because I couldn't connect to the media server, it worked. I went in, set up my itunes, restarted the server and....cannot connect to server. Cleared my cache again, didn't work. Opened port 9000 on my router even, nothing, whats going on?
