Playstation 3 only finds the twonky server once

Post by freedo » Tue Dec 30, 2008 5:00 pm

Hi.

I have a Playstation 3 (FW: 2.53) and a NAS (QNAP TS-209 Pro) running twonky media (version 4.4.9).

For me to make the PS3 see the twonky server I have to restart the NAS and then search for media servers on my Playstation 3.
The Playstation 3 and the NAS server are on a wired network.

This is what is displayed in the logfile for twonkymedia:

Code: Select all

User-Agent: UPnP/1.0
X-AV-Client-Info: av=5.0; cn="Sony Computer Entertainment Inc."; mn="PLAYSTATION 3"; mv="1.0";
I have searched google, this forum and everywhere else.
Found a thread on this forum, suggesting that the PS3 should have a higher local IP address then the twonky media server, which it has.

Can anyone help with this problem? Kind of annoying having to restart the NAS server every time I want to see a movie.

edit: the Playstation 3 is off course added to the client list for the twonky server.
