Lacie 5Big Network with Twonky

Post by graemesmith » Sun Aug 23, 2009 2:53 pm

I'm running a Lacie 5Big Network as a media server. At first my Samsung DLNA TV would not recognise it. Following the static IP tips I managed to get into the Twonky admin pages and reset everything then add the TV and now it works as advertised. The problem is I can only access the admin page using that specific IP set up. Is there any way to disable the admin lock out on the 5Big (same OS as the 2Big I beleive)? Lacie support were not much help, in fact they gave me no clues at all about accessing the admin pages, I had to get the info via Google.

Just for info the 5Big runs Twonky 4.4.8 and I accessed the admin page using a static IP of 10.0.1.6 on my PC and 10.0.1.66 on the 5Big - the admin page needs the full address http://10.0.1.66:9000/configpage to get in. My Ethernet BigDisk just needs the IP and port without the "configpage" to get in.

What I really want is an admin patch like the one available for the Ethernet BigDisk to save all this mucking around with IP addresses etc.

Any one else using a 5Big or 2Big successfully?
