I just tried the 5.1.1 RC2 on a Windows 7 box, and tested it against the PS3. I notice that the PS3's XMB still behaves the same as the before... Meaning the Video "selection" still has empty tree branches for non-Video items.· Enhanced user experience with Sony Bravia TVs
Through cooperation with Sony in Germany and Spain we managed to enhance the browsing experience with Sony Bravia TVs significantly. Users no longer need to select the content type twice. When TMS is for example selected after selecting music in the main menu of the Bravia TV, it will directly provide the music navigation tree.
How come this collaboration with Sony didn't "fix" this issue for the PS3 as well? My software development background would lead me to believe that the basis of Sony's XMB is the same across all their products.
