I'm using a Windows Home Server (WHS) with TwonkyMedia Server (v5.12) and stream all my media content to my new WDTV Live media player. In former days I have used a Netgear EVA8000 (without Twonky) and there was a possibility to sort the media content "recently added" which is a very helpful feature, especially when you have a lot of files.
Unfortunately this "sort by date added" feature is NOT (yet) included in the WDTV Live device when using network shares.
So I have installed TwonkyMedia Server on my WHS which should support this feature. Nevertheless, I have recognised that the sorting is NOT correct in some cases. I haven’t found the root cause for the problem, but I guess that the media library of Twonky do NOT use the metadata "date added" or even better "date created" from the WHS.
Every time when I restart my WHS the sort result is different. This ends up that the feature is absolutely useless for me as the sorting result do NOT reflect what I have physically added.
Question: Is there any way that this "recently added" feature use the "date created" from the WHS? Maybe there is a possibility to change the view.xml file, but I'm not that sophisticated so any help would be very much appreciated.
Thx in advance.
Kind regards,
Michael

Re: Incorrect sorting result using "recently added" feature
I forgot to mention one thing:
I know that I can use sort by date (which use the date created from WHS) but this structure “year --> month and that sort in alphabetic order†is not very convenient. I just need a “sort the last 100 files which I have added†to my media storage (as simple as possible).

Re: Incorrect sorting result using "recently added" feature
Is there really no one who has an idea how to configure Twonky to get a "sort the last 100 files which I have added" list?
