Help how to set up transcoding

Hi i have seen lots of comments about transcoding but i can not find a guide on how to set this up so if someone could help me and post directions on how to do this please .i am a new user and using twonky server version 6.0.23 and running this on ubuntu server and i would like to be able to transcode mkv files to play on my ps3

How do you set up MP3 Transcoding? It's greyed out. I got the video transcoding to work by adding the ffmepg files. I read something about an LMAC addin but can not find it. Running the latest 6. build.

Then, you need to go to the server settings page and click on the Transcoding link under the Advanced Setup and select the codec you want to trancode to:

Most of the suggestions in that guide should help point you in the right direction for Linux as well. Of course, you'll need to download a different FFmpeg installer. There are a lot of good posts about trancoding on this forum, if you do some searches.
