Itunes in Twonky 4.4.1.8

First of all I cannot install any newer Twonky on my LG NAS.

Now my problem. As there is no manual which describes all of this.

Why is there no link in ITunes to the Twonky server. I have to create a virtual drive in Windows and route this drive to ITunes. I thought that the Twonky would appear as in the ms media player. Is there an option to enable this?

When I try to play mkv files from the twonky to my ps3 or xbox360 the files cannot be played. I thought that the twonky will recode the files on the fly.

Same problem is with FLAC files. I've got my own cds coded as flac on my HDDs. How can this be encoded on the fly to get it to work on the ps3/xbox360.

This is not that good, people. If you want my money you have to sort out this kind of things first.

Why is this forum not moderated by someone how knows nearly all about the twonky.

Twonky is not an iTunes server it is a UPNP/DLNA media server. That would be why it does not show up in iTunes. From the bits of information I found the LG NAS units have a seperate iTunes server that must be enabled.

As far as I recall Twonky server 4.4.18 did not support transcoding. Only later versions did. Also, it is unlikely that the LG NAS has the performance to do transcoding anyway. Your only option is to re-encode the files into a format that is supported by the ps3/xbox360.
