Problem w/ Twonkyserver (Linux) and PS3

Post by mortalskillz » Wed Dec 29, 2010 3:23 pm

Hello all,

I'm currently testing TwonkyServer with a PS3 and a homeserver which is running Debian Lenny.
First of all, I think Twonky is worth buying a license because it is the fastest UPnP-Server I ever saw.
Unfortunately there is a little problem:
When I use the auto rescan feature (rescan interval: -1) the server recognizes new data in the share immediately. The PS3 also shows the new media in its menu browser. But if I want to start a video that I uploaded before, the PS3 shows something like "unsupported data" (in german: "Inkompatible Daten").
If I don't use the auto rescan but rescan manually the video can be played.

Does anyone else know this problem?

I hope someone can help me. If I can't fix the problem, I don't think that I will spend the money for a full license.
